Recalling my post on the red-tailed hawks (https://musingsbyjohnk.wordpress.com/2011/03/25/birds-eye-view/) that amaze and confound as they cruise at high altitude over the house, check out this stunning video that showed up on the Web recently: http://www.flixxy.com/parahawking-over-nepal.htm. Note that the hawk, at one point, lays back “by deploying his flaps” — ala a 737 — even as the guy in front gets another morsel ready.

It’s pointless to get philosophical about this, other than to say that it is a source of wonder how birds and people find ways to communicate with each other, given worthwhile incentive. In this case,the pictures are worth a jillion words.
